World of Warcraft Item Upgrades
Upgrades to items give players the ability to upgrade their equipment that they already have. This can be accomplished by any upgrader for items NPC.
Generally, upgrades increase an item's main stats and provide extra benefits, based on the item type. Examples include Whistan's shield for FB sorcs or Goldwrap for build casters.
Armour
Link's armor is an essential element in keeping him safe from harm. While it isn't able to be upgraded like weapons, you can improve its defence capabilities in a variety of ways.
Armour is designed to protect people or animals from injury or harm from direct physical attack or from a variety of environmental or activity hazards. In the past, armour was typically made of leather or fabric but later, protections made of metal were also used, especially in military applications like heavy cavalry or combat drones.
There are many ways to upgrade armour but the majority of them require you to visit one of four Great Fairy Fountains scattered throughout Hyrule. Each fountain comes with its own level of upgrades available, with more granting greater levels of protection, but require a higher price in rupees and the materials needed to unlock.
First, Armor Upgrades are permanent upgrades. Once they've been installed and removed, they cannot be reverted until you own a different piece of equipment with the same upgrade. You should only apply the highest-level upgrades to your equipment and make sure that you have the materials required to complete them.
You will find the upgrades you require in a variety places throughout Hyrule. These include shrines, merchants and even enemies. They're usually identified by the blue triangle or gold circle symbol and can be found in great numbers as you progress. Although they can appear randomly, there's a chance that acquiring certain upgrade elements will lead to quests that reward players with more.
It's also worth noting that even though the amount of protection offered by each upgrade varies, it is the same for all upgrades and will always be superior to nothing. This is because a complete set of upgraded armor will grant you a high defense boost that will protect you from all kinds of attacks except magic which makes it a very effective tool for any type of.
Weapons
If you'd like to make your guns distinctive, you can upgrade them by utilizing a variety of unique upgrades. These can increase damage, alter the weapon's stats to cater to your specific build and even unlock new attachments such as unique ammo types, enchantments and more aesthetic options.
To upgrade a weapon, you'll need an upgrade component in place and the item. The weapon must be above a certain level for the upgrade to be effective and most weapons can only take one upgrade at one time.
You can find weapon upgrade components scattered around the globe and even from the hands of enemies, or they can be bought from a merchant. The upgrade components themselves are made up of ingredients that can be incorporated into armor, weapons trinkets and gathering tools to grant an attribute bonus or additional impact while they're being used. The equipment must be at a certain level before it can accept the upgrade. It can be upgraded the same way as other items.
The upgrades themselves are a mix of Smithing Stones and Runes, and they can be used to enhance the stats of the base weapon and improving its scaling with other stats. They can be obtained from enemies that are dropped into the open world, bought from a few merchants or found from combat.
There are item upgrader that can upgrade your weapons: Blacksmith Hewg in the Roundtable Hold hub area and the Smithing Master Iji in the Road to the Manor hub area. Both of these NPCs accept your Smithing Stones or Runes to upgrade your weapon.
Prioritize upgrading your most-used slot items first. Then upgrade those that you aren't likely to replace anytime soon. If you're playing in a melee-based build, for instance, upgrade your weapon, then your chest and shoulders followed by your feet and hands. The same principles apply to Magic and Utility Items, with the caveat that certain items may be better than others depending on your playstyle. Armour is no different, with some refining better than others.

Magic Items
A character can only upgrade one magic item at a time. If an upgrade project is cancelled, no more upgrades will be planned for that item. Upgraded magic items cost twice as much gold to create or purchase, but can offer additional benefits.
A magical item is any item with special properties or effects. The majority of these items are weapons, but there are some that are also armor, shields and cloaks, potions, rings, scrolls, and other items. Some of these items can be converted into a sentient.
The majority of magic items can be upgraded to become equipped with additional capabilities. This makes them more useful to a player, or it can aid them in overcoming an especially difficult challenge. A weapon that is infused with an ingredient that is unique could be able to provide additional damage against a specific type of enemy. This is particularly useful for characters who have reached the level that they're likely to encounter a particular type of monster in the dungeons.
item upgrades that is infused can grant protection against piercing, bludgeoning, or slashing damage from nonmagical attacks (not including silvered ones) until the next time the character takes a lengthy rest. This is especially beneficial for combatants who are melee or any other character who would like to get rid of the expense and hassle of buying shields.
Certain items with enchanted properties have special powers which allow the character to cast spells in addition to those on their class's spell list. This is a great benefit for a character who has difficulty filling their spell slots due to multiclassing. These magical objects require an Intelligence check (Arcana), and the spell is determined by rolling a table based on the number of Intelligence points spent.
Other items that are enchanted can let the user change their appearance, or create a completely new one. These items are particularly useful for characters that have been forced to leave their home or are in a place where they may not be accepted. A magical item could provide them with invisibility or make them invisible to everyone except the chosen person.
Utility Items
Utility items are any equipment that doesn't fall under the categories of Clothing or Armor and have a variety of capabilities. They are not compatible with each other, unlike weapons or armor. The majority of utility items have a passive effect which the player can activate when using them. However, some of them have additional abilities that can be activated by pressing a button or activating the skill.
Generally, the most common type of utilitarian item is the Flashlight that is used to illuminate the surrounding area. Other options include the Helicopter Hat and Rocket Boots, which allow the player to float in the air while they move, and the Jetpack, which allows players to accelerate in any direction while on the ground. In the Engineering section you can create instantly a variety of utilitarian items, whereas others are only available through research projects or experimental projects on the Proving Ground.
In addition to the items available in the standard inventory, players can also unlock the most useful items of utility by purchasing them from the Atomic Shop and also from seasonal Scoreboard rewards (such as the Shadow Goggles). Certain of these items can be upgraded for more effective use.
Most utility items enhance an individual combat ability or give the player some kind of navigation advantage. For instance, Sharpening stones created by the Weaponsmith increase Ferocity and Power and Maintenance Oils made by the Huntsman improve Concentration and Healing Power. Other items of utility can be used by the player to increase Damage or Condition Damage.
All XCOM soldiers can be equipped with a utilitarian item at the start of the campaign. Later, item upgrades becomes available by equipping certain types of armor or completing engineering research or other projects in the Proving Ground. During the Alien Hunters DLC, additional slots are created by equipping the Grenade Launcher, which allows the player to equip an Smoke Grenade or Bomb in an additional grenade slot, while an offensive grenade can be placed in the main slot for grenades.
